Guru Energy Drink Guru is an organic brand; which means overpriced, bad tasting, things. Still, though, some of their products hold closer to what an energy drink is that other organic products. Iced Tea Green Tea Honey-Lemon Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Big Lots, Vestal, NY Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 3/10 Energy Rating: 2/10 Review: I don't like tea, but I never said it tasted bad. This, however, does. I didn't detect any honey, or lemon; it was a dark, scary experience to drink this foul brew. Energy isn't really anything, it's a 16oz can of tea. Juice Tangerine Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Big Lots, Vestal, NY Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 7/10 Energy Rating: 2/10 Review: This is basically orange juice without pulp; it's pretty tasty, but still has that dark organic aftertaste. Energy isn't really anything. Lite Size: 8.4oz can Location Acquired: Little Leaf Health Foods, Montrose, PA Contributor: Cathy Knapp Location in Collection: The Army Taste Rating: 3/10 Energy Rating: 2/10 Review: Any "natural" energy drink isn't going to be very energizing. This is the sugar free version of Guru original; it's sweetened with Stevia (the new trendy alternative sweetener among organic crap). The flavor is just a generic sweet flavor; unidentifiable. The sugarfreeness is a little disconcerting, and the energy isn't much. Original Size: 8.4oz can Location Acquired: Sisu, Warnock Commons, Penn State University Park, State College, PA Location in Collection: The Roomies Taste Rating: 6/10 Energy Rating: 2/10 Review: Again, natural=nonenergizing. But the flavor is quite unique; sweet is all I can really say to describe it. It's certainly not objectionable. Energy isn't much. Sport Lemon-Lime Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Big Lots, Vestal, NY Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 7/10 Energy Rating: 3/10 Review: This is Guru's interesting attempt at a sport drink-style energy drink. It's uncarbonated, and the flavor is a very refreshing lemon-lime, also free of that dark, frightening organic aftertaste. Energy isn't much, okish to eh.
