Nos Nos is an energy drink that is very prevalent, but manages to not have the self-important quality that Monster, Rockstar, and Red Bull stink of. Nos can be found everywhere, has an impressive line of products and sizes that all provide good energy, but keeps to itself and doesn't make noise. Energy Drink Fruit Punch Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Convenience store, Somewhere, PA Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 5/10 Energy Rating: 5/10 Review: This flavor isn't the best; it's a sharp, cherry attack on your taste buds. The carbonation only makes it worse; this isn't that pleasant to drink. Energy is good. Grape Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: Hinds Oil Mart, Montrose, PA Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 7/10 Energy Rating: 5/10 Review: This flavor is much better; it's like a tasty grape soda. Yummy. Energy is good. Original Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: WalMart, Vestal, NY Location in Collection: The Cube Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 5/10 Review: The original Nos flavor is hard to describe; it has citrus elements, but the flavor pinches to a close towards the end for a refreshing and tasty finish. Its closest relative in flavor might be Full Throttle, but it's still incredibly unique. Energy is good. Sugar Free Size: 16oz can Location Acquired: McLanahan's, State College, PA Location in Collection: The Roomies Taste Rating: 4/10 Energy Rating: 5/10 Review: Nos's original flavor doesn't blend well with lack of sugar; this isn't very good. Energy is good though. Powershot This is Nos's entry in the energy shot market; they were one of the first major energy drink brands to produce a shot; theirs hit shelves long before the casual, self-assured entrance of Rockstar Energy Shot and Monster Hitman. Original Size: 2oz bottle Location Acquired: Pump 'n' Pantry, Nicholson, PA Location in Collection: The Shots Taste Rating: 8/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: This is very much like its parent flavor, Original Nos. Provides good energy without the bad taste associated with most other energy shots. XXX Size: 2oz bottle Location Acquired: Sheetz, Clarks Summit, PA Location in Collection: The Shots Taste Rating: 5/10 Energy Rating: 4/10 Review: No, it's not dirty. This one is formulated with that latest buzzword diet fad, antioxidants! Whatever the hell those are. It's purple, so one can assume it's modeled off of the grape Nos; but this is far removed taste wise. Mostly just because it doesn't taste near as good and grapey. Energy is good though.
